Precision Laser Marking & NFA Marking in Henderson, TX
Petes Guns and Stuff LLC provides custom laser marking, firearm manufacturer marking, and NFA marking by
appointment. Every regulated project is reviewed for paperwork, eligibility, marking requirements, and scope
before work begins.
Regulated firearm and NFA work is accepted only after review. Do not ship or drop off any firearm, serialized
component, suppressor, or NFA item until Petes Guns and Stuff has confirmed the next step.
Service Tiers
Three levels of laser marking service
Projects range from cosmetic personalization on non-serialized accessories to regulated firearm and NFA
marking. Each quote is confirmed after item review, material review, proof approval, and compliance screening.
Compliance note: Regulated marking (Tiers 2 & 3) follows ATF requirements — typically minimum 0.003" engraving depth and 1/16" character height for required data, with correct content and placement. Specifications summarized for convenience; not legal advice.
Tier 1 - Custom & Cosmetic Laser Marking
Best for non-serialized parts, accessories, gifts, memorials, and one-off personalization.
Names, initials, logos, unit or team insignia, custom artwork, magazine marking, baseplates, cases,
knives, tumblers, and other eligible customer-owned accessories.
- No firearm transfer for non-serialized accessories you already own
- Proof approval before cutting
- Small-batch and appointment-based work by quote
Tier 2 - Type 07 Manufacturer Marking
Best for firearms, frames, receivers, and business/build projects needing compliant marking.
As a licensed Type 07 FFL manufacturer, Petes Guns and Stuff can review firearm marking projects that
require permanent identifying data, serial number marking, model, caliber or gauge, and manufacturer
information.
- Serial and required data marked to ATF specification: minimum 0.003" depth and 1/16" character height where applicable
- Required content: serial number, and (per format) manufacturer name or approved abbreviation, city and state, plus model and caliber/gauge where required
- Placement reviewed before work begins
- Regulated items may require transfer to our FFL
Tier 3 - Class 2 SOT NFA Marking
Best for NFA maker/manufacturer marking after paperwork and eligibility are verified.
Class 2 SOT marking services may include suppressors, SBR projects, and other NFA items where lawful and
properly documented. Project scope is confirmed before intake.
- Maker/manufacturer name, city and state, model, caliber, and unique serial number by review
- Engraved to ATF specification: minimum 0.003" depth and 1/16" character height, placed per regulation
- Marking completed within required timeframes and logged per our recordkeeping obligations
- Applicable paperwork, approvals, and recordkeeping required
- Work declined when scope or documentation is not compliant
Before We Quote
Have the project details ready
A good quote starts with the item, material, artwork, and compliance path. For regulated firearm or NFA
projects, Petes Guns and Stuff will confirm what is and is not permissible for the specific item before
accepting it for service.
Nothing on this page is legal advice. Firearm and NFA requirements can change. Final requirements are
confirmed at the time of service.

Compliance Gate
Regulated work requires verification first
Before a regulated quote or intake is confirmed, customers should expect eligibility, ownership or authority,
paperwork, transfer logistics, and legal scope to be reviewed.
Legal Possession
Customers must be legally permitted to possess the item and meet applicable age and eligibility requirements.
Ownership or Authority
The customer must own the item or be authorized to submit it. Regulated items may require transfer to our FFL.
Paperwork Review
Serialized firearm and NFA marking is performed only after documentation, approvals, and requirements are verified.
Right to Decline
Petes Guns and Stuff declines projects that would violate the GCA, NFA, ATF requirements, or business policy.
Cosmetic services are limited to eligible non-serialized parts and accessories the customer lawfully owns. All
regulated firearm and NFA marking is subject to applicable paperwork, approvals, transfers, and recordkeeping.
